Hi! I really love your art!! I was wondering if you could tell me what brush you used to replicate pentiments art style with your ocs? It’s so perfect I thought it was in the game for a second 😂

Hey there!! Thank you so much and HEHE I'm honored that it worked even if just in part! It seems trying to replicate the style of media I love for fun is something I'm decent at somewhat!

The inking brush I used is this one.

here's a link to the asset. i use clip studio paint so yeah! as for the coloring, I actually did not use any of my various downloaded brushes. I used the default Watercolor brushes, specifically these two:

I kinda fucked around until it looked right ngl, obviously I colorpicked some of the colors from in-game assets to make sure they'd be as homogenous as possible (such as the nun habit colors, and Salice's colors partly colorpicked from Werner, while I used Heddy for Eureka) since (to me) they are palettes hard to come by on my own.

For the rest I tried to flex the muscle that doesn't focus too much on detail to try and be as similar to the art style as possible. Hope this helps!!

Hi! Tbh I'm just so happy any time another charlos fic is posted that I pretty much don't care what it is lol. But in general, I think it'd be nice to have more non-driver AUs, but racing is so intrinsic to them that it can be hard to imagine them without it 😂

In terms of what I'd like to write...the list is endless smh. If I had the time/inspiration, I would be writing all day every day to try and post all the ideas in my google doc. I feel like this answer is lame haha, I haven't said anything specific, but lets just say......more bottom!carlos LOL. It's not as popular, especially paired with charles, but I think it's delicious from time to time 😝

After the initial fires of passion cool to some degree, what would keep your OC engaged in a relationship? Shared goals? Similar values? Or contented companionship?

A bit of everything - Jess isn't the type who needs to be in a relationship, she's perfectly content on her own, so in a partnership she absolutely needs someone who compliments every aspect of her - her desire to see the world, help people, live life to the fullest.

Do you have any opinions on RTD's work outside of Doctor Who, and how that has (or hasn't) changed overtime?

honestly, I've not really watched much of rtd outside of dw and related products (like torchwood and SJA). I don't really follow showrunners and none of the shows he's worked on, unrelated to sci-fi/dw, have caught my attention.

I did watch Wizards V Aliens which he helped make after SJA ended - which I did enjoy massively. But. It's sort of dw-lite, and while it relied on the overly-big showstopper events rtd does in dw (to an oversaturated point imo) it works better just because WVA is made for kids, aired on a kids channel and the over-the-top scenes fit for the endings - and, most importantly, the characters felt realistic and were more grounded in those scenes. Of course, he was co-creator, so there were other ideas thrown in there.

My thought is that rtd has a formula for what he likes, and even if some aspects of his writing may have changed - again, can't weigh in for certain - I don't think this formula has, based off what we've been seeing coming from his return to dw.

everything about coriolanus and sejanus is sick. because to sejanus, coryo was his everything. his best and only friend, his only companion, the only person in the academy who cared enough for him that he had even risked his life to bail him out of the arena. in district 12, when sejanus appeared in the brink of snow’s hopelessness and brought hope and familiarity to his life, coryo immediately embraced him, and then practically telling him that sejanus just saved him from committing suicide— which obviously only solidified sejanus’ belief that his best friend treasured him and loved him and cared for him unconditionally. (which i believe snow did, just to some extent).

but most of the times, to coryo, sejanus was just a friend. a friend that he tolerated every once in a while, a friend he resented lots of time because of his background, and a friend he really cared for, but not enough. never enough when the other choice was his country. and sejanus died not knowing that. he died without the knowledge that it was his best friend who betrayed him, and that he was still referred to as a “traitor” by him on an occasion with the dean.

and what’s so fucking sick is that coryo did care and mourn about it yes, but then he moved on and took on the ladder by taking pieces of what was left of his friend’s life with his blood on his hands and used it to his advantage.

he was taken in under the care of his dead friend’s family, loved and cared for, never had to worry about money anymore. ma and strabo plinth would never know that the reason their beloved son wasn’t alive, why their son wasn’t there anymore for his 19th birthday was because of his best friend they had just taken in. and no one would ever ever fucking find out.

and coryo. just. doesn’t. care. about. sejanus. anymore. in a snap. because now he has won, taking over panem one step at the time, and that has always been his biggest motivator. he might’ve cared for sejanus, like he cared for lucy gray, but that has never been enough. not when at the end of it all, the only person he has always been striving to save was himself and the glory of his family name and he ends up getting both. all’s well that ends well

If parenting has taught me anything, it is the importance of getting down on your hands and knees and teaching not just facts, but love and enthusiasm for the natural world.

This is my son Q and me. I have dozens of photos like this by now, even though he is just two years old.

Every chance I get, I will kneel down with him and show him the little creatures all around us. Especially when they are frogs. He loves frogs for some reason. No idea why.

It is important that we all see this together. It is beautiful. It is magnificent. We are here. It is improbable to the highest degree. It is fleeting, but it is everything we get. And we can get so, so much of it. If we just get our faces into it and really absorb it.

So that's what l'm trying to do here, I guess. Get all of you to join me in the reeds. And I am so happy to have so many of you along for the journey.

Does your OC judge themselves by the same standards as they apply to others? Or are they sometimes hypocritical in condemning others for faults they also possess? Or perhaps they find it easier to forgive others for things that they cannot abide in themselves?

Both Varrus and Jess are on the opposite ends of this spectrum.

Jess isn't necessarily blind to her faults, but often doesn't think of them as *faults*, more so just the way she is. So when someone else has the same issues she has, she would be very likely to condemn them for it, at least internally - until called out on it. She's not unreasonable, when it's pointed out what she's doing she'll stop and feel guilty, but it still doesn't stop her base reaction.

Varrus, on the other hand, holds himself to such a high standard, especially now as the WoL, that he has a hard time forgiving himself for simple mistakes even as others make those mistakes around him. The ambush on Rhalgr's Reach was probably the worst example of this, where he solely blamed himself for all that happened, despite not having been there at the start and no one else being able to defend or defeat Zenos, either.
